Watch: Why Miranda Kerr Didn't Return to VS Fashion Show 20 Years After Debut

Miranda Kerr isn't ready to wear her angel wings again.

Two decades after the supermodel made her debut at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, she shared insight into why she didn't hit the catwalk this year, despite being invited to return.

"Looking back with so much gratitude for the friendships, the magical memories and for everyone who made that chapter of my life so special," Kerr—who last walked in 2012—captioned her Sept. 17 Instagram post. "It meant so much to be invited to return this year, especially as it marks 20 years since my first show."

"But I ultimately felt in my heart it was right to cherish this chapter as it was," she concluded. "Sending so much love and light to everyone in this year's show!"

Meanwhile, the lingerie brand proved there's only love flying high between them.

VS commented under the post, "Always an Angel to us."

Although Kerr opted not to walk during the Oct. 18 fashion show she did return to the runway for Stella McCartney's Paris Fashion Week show earlier this month. The surprise appearance marked her first walk since Moschino's 2017 event in Los Angeles, Calif.

The model—mom to son Flynn, 15, with ex Orlando Bloom, as well as Hart, 8, Myles, 7, and Pierre, 2, with husband Evan Spiegel—has become more selective about modeling opportunities after welcoming her eldest.

"This is a natural evolution," she told Fairfax Media in April 2013. "The thing is, I've been modeling since I was 13. I'm now entering a new phase in my life. I have felt this coming since my son was born and, after I became a mother, I realized I needed to prioritize my time."

"It's really important I give 100 percent to my clients and I have to be careful to make strategic long-term decisions with my personal and business interests," she emphasized. "I've reached a point in my career where I'm developing my own opportunities that are really reflective of my passions."

Although Kerr didn't take flight at the 2026 fashion show in Culver City, Calif., other legends like Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel did dazzle. To see all the models who walked this year, keep reading.
