Courtesy of Getty ImagesThis summer, we want to look glowy and sun-kissed, not greasy and sweaty. But with the wide array of glowing complexion products available, that distinction is getting harder and harder to achieve. Whether it's glowing tints or highlighters, we're yearning for a glow that looks natural.
We went to an expert to get all the details on how to achieve that coveted summer look. We tapped Tina Turnbow, celebrity makeup artist and founder of The Bare Magazine, to tell us everything from the specific step-by-step guide to what not to do that trendy makeup look by ourselves like a total pro.
- Apply glowy tints or highlighters to the tops of cheekbones, brow bones, the bridge of the nose, and the cupid's bow.
- Use your fingers to blend or tap in your highlighter.
- Don't rely only on highlighters or glowy tints; layer cream blush and concealers for a natural glow.

Where to Apply Glow Tint So Skin Looks Dewy, Not Greasy
According to Turnbow, highlighters and glow tints should be applied to the high points of the face. These high points are where the sun hits your skin, such as the tops of cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of nose, and cupid's bow. Avoid the T-Zone area, which is where sweat normally accumulates. "I personally love Haley's Re-fract Smoothing Highlighter Powder as it has a golden hue," Turnbow told E!
Another tip is to double-check your makeup before leaving the house. "Making sure to check they're luminous, not greasy in proper light after doing makeup," she said. Plus, use your fingers to blend or tap in your highlighter instead of packing it with a brush.
